 Radon Testing            C-NRPP Certified

Rasdon Gas is the largest cause of Lung Cancer in non smokers. Radon Gas is a radioactive gas that you cannot see, smell or taste and can get in your home undetected. Radon Gas is in all buildings, places of work and homes. Radon Gas is the deacy products from the Uranium Rock we live on. Reducing Radon Gas exposure in each home should be a priority for all Canadians in order to protect themselves from Radon-Induced Lung Cancer. In order to do this, all homes must be tested for Radon, and then mitigated if Radon Gas levels are elevated. Any home in Canada with a Radon Gas concentration above Health Canada's Action Level of 200 Bq/m3 should be mitigated.

 Radon Mitigation          C-NRPP Certified

Reducing Radon Gas levels in your home is a relatively sinple process in most cases. Through the installation of a sub slab depressurization system the Radon Gas content can be reduced by up to 80%. A communication test will be performed in the lowest level of the home to determine the equipment required to complete the mitigation. A follow up test is the final portion of the mitigation to determine the outcome.

CRNCH CERTIFIED - Controlling Radon in New Canadian Homes

Do it Yourself - If you want to install the Radon Mitigation System yourself, instead of hiring a certified professional, you can contact us and we can make arrangeents to complete a site visit to complete the calculations and communications test (very important) to properly size the blower system for your particular home or business.

There is a fee for this process but, this can make your personal system work most effectively. There are many facors to consider when palning out where to install a system and where to exit the building with the exhaust of the syatem.

Thermal Infrared Imaging          Level II Certified

Thermal Imaging is Used in Many Different Capacities.

Thermail imaging is a process that helps us see anomalies in a stucture, heating systems, roof systems, electrical systems, insulation, plumbing leaks, electrical systems, process scans, etc.

Building Envelope Scans to determine moisture and air intrusion.

Roof scans for peaked roof systems and flat roof systems are used regularly to determine the condtion of mosture intrusion.

Heating system scans are used to determine the efficiencies of the installed systems in structures.

Electrical system scans are used to help find problems with overheating circuits, electrical motors, etc.

Plumbing scans are used to locate problems in installed plumbing systems in buildings.

Problems in any one of these areas can be detrimantal to the building and the contents or people using the building.

Thermal Scans are used most commonly as preventative maintenance measures in buildings and factory processes.

Down time in any plant process can quickly exceed the cost of the Thermal Scan in a process.

iThermal Infrared Scans can also help with the cost of many insurance policies for building as a monitoring tool.

 Mold Testing

Mold assessments can be completed on request by our clients to help determine the probability that Mold is present in the building at the time of the assessment. The secondary purpose would be to identify and quantitiy of Mold spores and types and concentrations indoor for potential health risks.

There are three conventional mold-sampling methods;

- surface sampling; involves either using a cotton swab apparatus or direct tape lift to collect Mold from surfaces for direct miroscopic examination and analysis

- Bulk sample; physically extracting a piece of material from a surface for culturing or direct microscopic examination and analysis

- Air Sample; involves trapping air in a special cassette specifically designed for direct microscopic examination and analysis.
